School Year Wrap-Up and Looking Ahead to Summer

Coming This Summer - Camp Keshet Nights!
May 18, 2026

Our final celebration ceremony of the 5786 school year was held on Sunday, May 17th, in the CoM sanctuary. The highlight of the event was the performance of "The Letters Ask to Begin the World," A Living Midrash, inspired by a Midrash from “Legends of the Jews” by Rabbi Louis Ginsberg.

Cary Mannaberg wrote the script, and the teachers and students of OKCJS did an exceptional job bringing this story to life. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the OKCJS staff for their unwavering commitment to our students and to the parents for supporting their children's Jewish education. We also appreciate our JRSC (Joint Religious School Committee) and Jewish community for their involvement and support throughout the year.

As we look forward to summer, we are excited to announce that Camp Keshet Day Camp will run from July 20–24 at TBI, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, for students entering 1st through 7th grade. We are pleased to share that Camp Keshet will be free again this year for current OKCJS students, thanks to a grant from the Marvin and Rosalie Okun Foundation.

This year, we’re introducing something new: Camp Keshet Nights! Evening camp sessions will be available throughout the summer from 4:00 to 8:30 pm at CoM, allowing parents to enjoy a night out without worrying about childcare. While the dates are still being finalized, we are actively planning activities. Stay tuned for more details; a registration link will be provided soon!
