Two of CoM’s Trustees passed away recently: Judy Davis on April 14, and Margaret Israelson on April 23. The Congregation of Moses mourns the loss of these special members.

Both Judy and Margaret had served many years as Board Members, Executive Committee Members, CoM Treasurers, and in other significant roles, including in providing loving support to ailing members, welcoming potential new members, organizing our religious services, supporting our Religious School, working in our kitchen and serving as ambassadors to non-Jewish visitors.

They both served as Presidents of Sisterhood and were active in Hadassah and Federation. As Trustees and members, their good counsel, usually provided with a smile, was always appreciated. Judy continued to be as active as her health allowed during the last four years, while Margaret and Jehiel had moved to North Carolina two decades ago to be near their daughter’s family.

Tzedakah in memory of Margaret may be directed to Beth Meyer Synagogue, Transitions Hospice, and Congregation of Moses.
