Calling All Bakers!
Are you feeling it?
Your chance to shine.
You can bake anything you like.
Whether you are an accomplished baker with a signature challah, cookie or cake recipe; someone who loves to try new desserts; or simply a person who enjoys spending time with friends around food, this is an invitation to make something sweet in a beautiful, functional kosher kitchen. Choose one of three available dates and times, or contact Rae Lee Howard to arrange a baking session that better fits your schedule.
For Jewish communities in particular, food often carries memory, meaning, and connection. Desserts appear at Shabbat tables, holiday gatherings, lifecycle celebrations and moments when people simply want to show care for one another. A baked treat can express welcome, gratitude, consolation, celebration, and affection—sometimes all at once.
There is a special kind of joy that begins with a mixing bowl, a favorite recipe, and the anticipation of something wonderful coming out of the oven. CoM invites you to experience that joy in our welcoming Kosher Mitbach—a community kitchen designed for cooking, baking, learning, and gathering together. High Holidays Baking is your invitation to create something sweet, meaningful, and delicious in CoM’s newly outfitted Kosher Mitbach (kitchen).
Come prepare a dessert for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur break-the-fast and Sukkot. Bring your favorite ingredients and recipe—or make it a creative adventure with a friend and decide together what should be on the menu.
