Caring for Our Land: Woodland Cleanup and Invasive Plant Removal
Invasive shrubs and vines are popping up all over our woods and yards, and they crowd out the native plants that keep our ecosystem healthy. The good news is we can make a real difference using simple, non-toxic methods. We’ll be focusing on clearing invasive plants from parts of our 12-acre property.
Come join us for some fresh air and hands-on work in the woods and along Broadway Drive. We’ll work together in teams—no experience needed.
Bring work gloves, boots, and clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty (layers are a good idea). If you’ve got tools like rakes, shovels, or pruners, feel free to bring them along—but if not, we’ve got you covered. We’ll have tools, guidance, and snacks ready.
Stay for a bit or the whole time—whatever works for you. There’s something for everyone, and it’s a great way to help out and connect with others.
